The story is reminiscent of the concerns of a poor household in the 19th century. It depicts the rural distress , ruthless drought , the cruelty of poverty and the oppressive zamindars of the 19th century. The 1st episode shows Gafur and his daughter Amina along with their beloved family bovine Mahesh’s major struggle for their existence in the society.
